The backyard unfolds as a private outdoor retreat, featuring expansive custom flagstone patios and warm seating areas designed for effortless entertaining and relaxation. A statement fireplace and fire pit create gathering spaces, complemented by a covered dining pavilion with a fully appointed custom outdoor kitchen.
Around the pool, raised planters introduce lush layers of greenery, softening the surrounding hardscape and creating a consistent connection between the architecture and landscape. Illuminated fire bowls encircle the pool, adding a refined glow and dramatic ambiance for evening entertaining and nighttime swimming.
Every element was carefully considered to create a cohesive, resort-inspired landscape where natural materials, layered planting, and light come together in an exceptionally inviting outdoor environment.
“We hired Colorado Design Build for a complete redesign and renovation of both our front and back yards, and we are very happy with the finished product. This was a large and fairly complex project, with a very specific design vision and a number of higher-end materials and finishes, and a fair amount of coordination with a pool installation company and other trades. I also tend to be extremely particular about how I want things to look, and the team did a great job listening to what I was trying to achieve and then executing on it. They got the vast majority of things right the first time, but just as importantly, on the few occasions when something wasn’t exactly what I had envisioned, they were very responsive and came back to revise it until it was right. They also worked seamlessly with our pool company throughout the project, which made a complicated installation much easier. I particularly appreciated that the owner, Myles, was personally involved, accessible and responsive throughout the process. Our landscaping itself is extensive—we had more than 1,000 plants installed between the front and back yards—and they did an excellent job with both the installation and follow-through. After the first year, they came back and replaced the relatively small number of plants that hadn’t made it, which I really appreciated. Overall, Colorado Design Build did a great job on a substantial project, delivered the high-end look we were hoping for, and stood behind their work. We are very happy with our outdoor spaces and would absolutely recommend Myles and his team to others.”
